Baby Shower Time

Baby Showers are so much fun. There so much joy to bringing a new life into the world; to see the mother to be with her glowing face and eager eyes....ah yes, the good life. I was reminded of this at my last baby shower. Our client was thrilled to be having their first girl. Now big brother will have a small sis to look after. It was a small tight nit group of friends which was amazing to find how much energy truly envied the room. The games were so much fun and the prizes were defiantly worth competing for. Try these baby shower games to change things up a bit:

  • Baby shower price is right-have a basket of about 5-6 items and have the everyone guess prices. Who ever gets the most correct is the winner.
  • Guess the waist of the mother to be-okay ladies, now take it easy. We don't want to go over board and upset the MTB. For this game you'll need ribbon and scissors. Pass the ribbon around and have every guest cut off a piece. Then one by one have them bring theirs up and measure it on the MTB.
  • Baby Balloon Charades-MY FAVORITE! Write on 10-15 pieces of paper something that involves a baby or child, such as preparing a bottle, changing a diaper etc. Then fold the paper into a tiny piece and stuff it in a balloon. Finally blow the balloon up and have each guest pick their own balloon. Now, each guest is to get up front and center and pop the balloon-next they act out what is written on the paper (WITHOUT WORDS). Who ever guesses the most is the winner!

Memory Cards/Specialty Menus

We help parties by adding a special touch or allowing client the ability to get involved in the design process of the event they are planning. With specially trained professionals we will assist in making a fully custom product that represents who you are. For this Event our client wanted to incorporate her mom’s favorite color and add a touch of class to the party. Working together we used her ideas to create these memory cards and specialty drink menu tents. The look really went over big as part of the décor and overall theme of the party. The guest really had a good time filling out the memory cards and the client especially loved the thought and meaning behind each of them. Before the party was over the cards were collected after being read to the guest of honor and put together as a keeps sake. Your ideas and our design together at work….we’ll make your next event a success!

Invitations

We do it all, from weddings to baby showers. Let us help make your next event a success. We develop a plan that suits your needs and wallet. We truly enjoy creating lasting memories for clients. What can I say, we are true people pleasers. Our client wanted something different for her new baby girl. She looked around and with the help of her son she was able to narrow it down to these cute little animals. We added an extra spin and additional spunk of life by creating girlie color palettes.

Here are some images used to create a baby shower invite for a client's upcoming shower. It's her first baby girl and the couple couldn't be more thrilled.

Oh, how we love Wedding Cakes

I had a meeting the other day with a client who will be getting hitched in November. November is a wonderful time of the year to get married, especially in Austin. The average temperature is 62 degrees and 12 days of the entire month are beautifully clear sun shiny days. What more could a girl ask for when planning an outdoor wedding? Not much, all signs point to great success. During our meeting we were discussing different opinions on cake and what my thoughts were on having a tiramisu cake as well as truffles. I most admit it took me a second to picture the 2, but once I did I thought it couldn't be more perfect. Her favorite cake type is tiramisu. Her fiance' loves truffles BUT he was torn because he wanted a classic wedding cake look and not just the candy shop look. So the solution: a classic wedding cake outside with tiramisu filling on the inside and a truffle ball cake. Not only will it be yummy it and have unique feel but it will represent the bide and groom perfectly!

SXSW

Austintageous would like to thank everyone who helped work SXSW. It was a huge success and we can't to work with everyone again next year. We were able to meet some very talented individuals. While most of the parties were full of work; we did get to partake in some of the fun filled festivities.

For those of you who aren't familiar with SXSW, it's one of the largest music festivals in the United States. It boast over 1,400 performers and generates a smashing economic impact of more than 110 million dollars for Austin. It includes film, interactive, and music parties. Generally speaking, SXSW takes place in mid March and last 2 jam packed weeks. It brings people from all over the world. If you haven't had a chance to watch a show, I highly recommend it. There are countless numbers of raw talent, artist, and genuinely good folks to be found all over the streets.
